賴永興
賴永興，1963出生於臺灣彰化，1986年畢業於國立藝專雕塑科，1993-99年留學於日本多摩美術大學雕塑系大學部及研究所，1999年進入日本金澤美術工藝大學博士後期課程專攻雕塑，於2002年取得藝術博士學位，目前居住於新北市，任教於國立臺灣藝術大學雕塑系並從事木雕創作。

早期以木雕人物來呈現特定意念的創作表現，自2000年起以「自刻像（Self-Image）」為題，以日常生活中的自我反省、檢討為依據，進行創作探討，第一件《自刻像》是寫實的自刻像（Self-Portrait），之後作品的人臉逐漸演變成扁平的造形，人頭與門（The Gate）成了自刻像系列作品的構成要素，近年自刻像系列又逐漸延伸出人形的負空間，及以手遮臉的造形，持續以木雕創作為探討人類本質留下紀錄。
